Renaming tape error

Hello

All backups are working properly

But , when trying to rename a tape - i recieve the follwoing error :

Microsoft SQL server hosting the configuration database is currently unavailable. possible reasons are heavy load, networking issues, server reboot or hot backup.

Catalog size is really big although compressed

Catalog Items Size Packed
Tape catalog2110368622.2 GB356.3 MB

Veeam Backup & Replication 8.0.0.2084

I just upgraded to the latest SP3 in ver 8. same results

Do you recommend to upgrade to V.9 ? Is it a simple upgrade process ? any specific instructions ?

I recommend updating to 9.5 U1, actually. Nothing special about upgrading procedure, just check Release Notes in advance and you're good to go.
