We have a file to tape job that runs nightly. We are questioning the health of 1 of the tapes because we've already had 1 file restore fail. Is there a way to restore all files on the tape without selecting each file individually?
There are about 100 files on the tape, so it would not be an impossible task to select each file. However, it would be terrible to have files fail and then have to recreate the job over and over again while we try different files. So, is there a way to say, "Warn but don't fail on error"?

Re: Restore All Files from a Tape
I can propose a creative workaround - deploy a clean VB&R console, import tape there, so that a server catalog is populated. After that, your restoration scope on a new console will be limited to files residing on imported media. Thanks.

Unfortunately, I think that will take just as long as selecting the files individually.

Got it, was just trying to propose potential alternative. Thanks.
