Hello,
I am new to Veeam tape backups and currently I have a reverse incremental backup job going to tape so I am backing up .vbk files. The backup to tape runs fine however I was wanting to know if there is a way of exploring and restoring individual files out of the VBK file directly from tape or do I have to restore the entire VBK file from tape and then explore it after it has been restored off tape?
Thanks

Re: Restore data out of VBK file from tape
Correct. You can leave your vote for granular data restore functionality in this thread, though.do I have to restore the entire VBK file from tape and then explore it after it has been restored off tape?

[MERGED] : Restore directly from tape?
Hi guys,
This is quite a newbie question but can you please tell me if we can directly restore from tape or if we need to restore VBKs and VIBs on disk before we can restore a VM?
Thanks,

Re: Restore data out of VBK file from tape
You'll have to restore backup files prior to restoring VMs.
