restore selected files from tape not fully restoring

Hello All.

I'm restoring files back from tape and want to restore all the files in a particular path.

When I select the parent folder in the path > restore files from tape restore to orginal location > leave existing file.

builds the list of objects to restore, loads the tape and proceeds to restore the directory after a while it shows completed and a number of files where skipped due to overwite settings.

But not all the files are restored. If I repeate the process more files are restored filling in some of files not restored etc. each time I repeate this and I've now done it twelve times and each times different files are restored and each time it says completed successfully.

I'm puzzled why its taking several attempts to restore the files. any ideas or pointers of where to look please?

To clarify: you need to restore entire folder history or the folder state for the specific date? Thanks!
