Script Execution Timed Out

Hey Guys,

I've got the following environment:
Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard on IBM BladeServer HS22V with Veeam Backup & Replication 8 Standard Update 2 installed. IBM TS3100 Tape Library connected by SAS to the Server.
I've installed latest IBM non-exclusive Tape Drive-Drivers and Controller-Drivers on the Server, did a Firmware-Upgrade on the SAS-Controller and on the Tape Library.

There are some Backup2Tape-Jobs, to copy backed up VMs from HDD to LTO5-Tape.
These Jobs start and after about 45min they cancel with the error message "Script Execution Timed Out". They copied round about 1.5GB.

Has anyone an idea to fix this issue?

yes, I did, but the support has not really an idea to fix it.

I had exactly this error, and support helped me out. It was a long processes, but in the end, the bottom line was, our (very low end) NAS was timing out sending data for some reason into the job. Eventually I managed to get SSH access into the NAS and comb through the logs, to find it was actually suffering bad sectors and invalid data reads, causing timeouts/delays, but for whatever stupid reason, not reporting them anywhere! So certainly don't consider that the job is valid or complete.

sorry for that late answer. Had a lot of work to do.
@Dima: yes, Case ID 00929322.

Actually it seems, that the problem is between Tape Drive and Controller. I performed a check with IBM Tape Diagnostic Tool (ITDT) and get „SCSI CMD TIMEOUT“ while doing a "full write" to tape. 32GB were copied with a transfer rate of 14.5 MB/s.

no, had no luck with the keys.
Actually, I've opened a Case at IBM Support, too. Should clean the drive three times and install latest Firmware. That did'nt help. Now I'm waiting for new instructions from IBM.
