You are welcome Joe! Mind me asking if you have any concerns related to the tape properties from usability or performance perspective? Can you please share how you use it and what objects you typically want to find in this view to confirm this particular tape contains what you need?

Re: see the content of a tape in V12
Hi, there is a big use case for me that I can't see here but is related to the missing feature of "browsing files on tapes": I need to restore a specific file or folder from an old tape (4-5 years old) but I'm not sure when it was removed so I need to browse the tape catalog to be sure it's inside the tape I'm looking at and aslo before I don't have enough time and space to restore all the tape content !
I have tried to follow this procedure: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120
but when I search for a lot of strings (files or folder names, some of them I think existed) I can't find them and I can't be sure if it's my fault or Veeam that has removed the function also from this wizard because I can't browse the catalog, again !
i also have tried to search for files or folder with just "a" or "b" as a search string, just to be sure the search bar is working and i can't get any results. please help me, I'm really disappointed. I'm on V12.

Maybe you need to catalog your tape.

Correct, tape must be added to the catalog. You can click Files node in the navigation, select the Tape hive and use search for specific file name.
