Hi all,
We have a number of sites where tapes follow a GFS tape backup cycle of:
4 incremental Mon-Thu (1~ week retention)
4 Friday full backups (1~ month retention)
12 monthly full backups (1~ year retention)
There has been a few instances over the past year where the weekly tape is missed on a Friday, due to absence etc... Due to this, we've set a 12 hour 'waiting for tape' time out which prevents the job running forever. This has worked perfectly except for 1 issue.
Veeam will then fail the following 4 days of incremental while waiting for the previous Friday full backup. It will only move past that Friday backup when it reaches the next Friday.
Is there a simple way that we can tell Veeam to skip the weekly backup and continue with incremental? I'm aware this will lose the previous week of incremental, however attempts to end users to put Friday tapes in after the fact, almost always fail.
Cheers in advance.

Re: Skip weekly backup if tape is missed
Hello Vys_James.K,
Thank you for your feedback! Any change you have the error code from the failed daily job (if you can PM me the link to the screenshot, that would be wonderful)?
