Slow Tape Speeds

I was working with a Veeam agent on a different issue and they suggested posting this topic here. I have a physical veeam server with 3 LTO8 tape drives in my library. Currently doing a backup restore from tape to repo from an LTO7 tape and getting 215MB/s. On my monthly tape backups I see an average prcoessing rate of 150MB/s or less. My tapes are all LTO7 or LTO8. What should I be checking to improve my speeds?

You should open a support case for this issue and have a tape support engineer review the performance counters in the debug logs, and tell you what infrastructure component is the bottleneck.
