stopping a running tape backupjob

Hi! I have a question. Do i run in any problems, when i stop a running tape backupjob?
I example, i need to do a restore from tape, in the time, the backupjob is running.

Hi fragi,

Likely you'll need to erase such a tape at a later point, but as far as I know, it's fine to just "off" the backup. Obviously you won't be able to do anything with the cancelled job's data, but everything else on the tape should be fine.
