Surebackup over tape

Hello

I want to ask surebackup is supported on tape backups?
Customer wants "backup can not be deleted" and "backup recoverability" So WORM tape is the option. Can we use surebackup in tape jobs?

There is no such possibility but what about to run SureBackup job using backups stored on the primary storage?

Maybe you could try to perform test restores of VM from tape to infrastructure to a new location instead?

True but in ransomware attack worm tape backups is critical this situation. So if tapes are corrupted or something surebackup is great way to find it.

Could you add feature request for this?

We tried to manually restore VMs from tape, and use the networks created by SureBackup, however the recovered VMs were unable to communicate with each other.
+1 to be able to use SureBackup with backups from tape.

Hello folks,

With latest version v11 you can perform tape verification to let the tape drive sequentially read data blocks from the tape and compare those with the Veeam Backup & Replication database. Hope it helps!
