Tape Backup advice required.

Hello all,

Looking to sort out a tape strategy for backups.

Device: Dell TL1000 Tape autoloader.

Veeam V10 Backup and replication.

Backing up to disk on a daily basis to disk (7 days a week at 2200). Normal Daily backup is around 4TB.

I 20 tapes (LTO 6 - capacity 2.5 TB and 2.3 TB available to Veeam)

For the tape - requirement to backup to tape once a week

What would be the best tape strategy and how would I configure this within Veeam V10

You can select an appropriate schedule in this step of backup to tape job wizard, for example you can define a specific day to run the job. Also, please review this page of our best practices guide, I'm pretty sure you'll find a lot of useful information there.
