Tape backup to Qualstar

Post by csindelar »

Is anyone using a Qualstar TLS model library (SCSI direct attached) with Veeam 7? Curious how it works, specifically the barcode reader.

Corey, this library is supported by Veeam B&R, according to our customers.

Hey Foggy, This was specifically for TLS, I think you referenced RLS. Can we confirm we do work with the TLS such as a TLS 4440 via iSCSI connection?

It is not on our unofficial compatibility list yet. You could be the first to test it with Veeam B&R and report back the results, would be tremendously appreciated!

Hi, Kellen,

The major requirement is the usage of OEM drivers from device manufacturer. In other words, as long as, the correct drivers are used and given library/drive is shown properly in Windows Device Manager under correct name (as opposed to generic device), it should work smoothly with Veeam Backup and Replication.
Thanks.
