We acquired a Dell Tape Library. We are looking to have ~ 2.8TB backups sent to a single LTO8 tape so that our techs can go to the data center and pull from the media set as an air-gapped backup.
We have created a new "backup" that takes all the protection groups to a new repo. Then we have a tape job that takes that repo to tape. Do we need to define a media vault to move the tapes to?
Sorry, we are new to the Veeam and Tape design side. Thanks in advance.

Re: Tape Full Nightly
Hello end3rl3,
Tape vault is a logical entity designed to keep track of the exported media, basically it keeps the exported offline media in a separate view but it does not somehow affect the entire backup / restore process. If you do not create media vault - all exported tapes will displayed as offline media under the media pool. Thanks!
