Hello,
When we create GFS pool we can for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly.
Is the GFS referring as full backup including the daily is full backup??

Hello Handian,

Daily media set does not synthesize full backups (except the first run of the job when we can create full backup for the set date to start the backup chain on tape), it processes the content of the repository as-is. The goal of daily media set is to allow you to backup your regular backups together with GFS rotation schema without creating multiple media pools. Thank you!

So the daily refer to incremental backup right?

Yes and no If you have a full backup on disk daily will process it as full, so try to schedule weekly backups in the GFS at the days when you have full backups on disk for the jobs with periodic full backups.
