Tape Issue
We are taking daily backups to tape using 10 tapes — one tape per day. After 10 days, we want to reuse the same tapes that already contain data but still have available space. However, when the job runs, Veeam shows the status “Waiting for tape,” and we cannot reuse the tape unless we erase it and perform an inventory.

Re: Tape Issue
Hi hallak_sara,
Likely this is about media sets -- our Tape FAQ explains the concept a bit more, but in short what likely happened is when you rotated the tapes out, the media set closed, and as per the first link, a new media set always requires an empty tape.
Once the media set closes, regrettably there is not a way to re-open it or continue writing to the same tape until the tape retention is over (or the tape is erased / marked as free). You might consider the solution from the last Q&A in the Tape FAQ linked previously, and rotate the tapes in/out as you desire.
