Tape job and linked backup jobs

I was describing the case with multiple source jobs. It doesn't appear to apply to the situation mentioned by you.

Linked tape job should not really start before the source backup job is finished, so, kindly, open a ticket with our support team and let them investigate it directly.

I had a ticket open for this (different customer, but same setup), the ticket is closed already. I was told by support, that linked backups are not working as intended atm and, as a workaround, that i should schedule the to tape job. I just wanted to confirm if i had understand the problem correctly

Can you provide me with your ticket number, so that I can check the case? Just to confirm - there is one backup job that is chosen as a source for backup to tape job, and the latter one doesn't seem to treat such a schedule well?

Case is: 00933689

The Setup is straight forward:
Daily B2D with Reverse Inc enabled and the to Tape job is configured to start after the B2D Job.
So B2D Starts at 23:00 and as soon as it finishes the to tape job copies the vbk to tape.

I was told that this setup is not always working as intended with 8.2 and that I should schedule the to tape job as a workaround.
Like this: B2D runs at 23:00 and the to tape job at 04:00 in the morning.

We've taken a look at your case, and found our the root cause of the said problem. There is a private fix for the given issue.

If you want to get it, just re-open your ticket and ask your support engineer to provide it.
