Tape job exports media set - but it should not

Hi,

did I miss some recent change to the tape backup logic?

Because since some weeks, whenever there is a failure in the tape backup (e.g. because I don't supply the next tape and the job times out), the job exports the media set and a new one is created the next day when the job starts again.

At the media pool level, this is only defined to happen on Monday, so that I have a media set for each week that contains full backups from the weekend + all the incrementals during the week.

I checked all the job settings three times, created a new job, but this still happens every time.

Sorry for the delay. It does not sound right, we were addressing the issues with export from the opposite side (if tape job fails, export should not be performed at all). If you still having this issue, can you please raise a support case and share the case ID with us? Thank you in advance!
