Tape Job Running 24 Hours

I have a Tape Job > which is a VTL emulating LTO5.
I am running the job scheduled for "As new backup files appear".
I have a annoying side effect for some reason
The job runs every morning in 30-40 minutes. Great.
But for the next 24 hours the Job sits awaiting for new Restore Points, (I assume this is as designed)
However the Jobs reporting and History records this as taking 24Hours each day to complete this is misleading and frustrating.

Is there a work around. Its critical we get the data to the VTL ASAP so the "As new backup files appear". is perfect for us.

Any suggestions?

What about using "after this job" option, instead?

Nice I had not noticed that option, I have changed it and see how it goes.
