Tape Job with Backup Copy Azure as Source
Hello Guys,
I have configure Veeam for Azure, my backups work fine. I created Backup Copy job for this job to an onpremise Server.
The backup copy jobs finish properly.
So now I want to externalize this backups to tape. I created a tape job with a standard Media Pool, when I start it, I obtain the message
19/01/2022 14:19:26 :: No new files to backup per job settings
19/01/2022 14:19:26 :: Building source backup files list started at 19/01/2022 14:19:26
19/01/2022 14:19:26 :: No backup files found
Job finished in Success but nothing processed
I tried with a GFS Medial Pool, and obtained the same result.
It's like Veeam doesn't see the file in my repository.
Regards
Philippe

Hello,
do you have a case number for that? Because I different behavior in my environment for the standard media pool.
As a quick workaround, file-to-tape can be used. That copies everything.
Best regards,
Hannes

Re: Tape Job with Backup Copy Azure as Source
A quick update, the support gave me somes usefull informations:
It seems that the VBK full backup files have been found on the repository but was active and we couldn't take them to tapes.
We need to have for :
- A source backup copy job in the immediate copy mode must keep not less than 3 restore points on disk.
- A source backup copy job in the periodic copy mode must keep not less than 4 restore points on disk.
After few days the copy on tape seems to work properly.
