Tape Newbie

Hi Folks

I have a Dell powervault rl4000, I eject a tape in veeam but I am assuming that I still need to manually at the tape console push the buttons? Excuse me for the naivety of the question

I am using Dell TL1000 and if I eject the tape in Veeam I don't have to eject it again with the button.
Ejecting in Veeam is equal to pressing the button on the library.

Hi Guys,

Thanks, actually i dug into the documentation and it would seem that with some multi loaders you do actually either at the console or web console need to eject for actual physical ejection to take place.

My bad. In case of library or multiloaded eject operation moves the tape from a drive to a slot. If you want to get the tape remove from the library use Export option.
