Tape objects retention

Post by spgeblg »

Hello,

We have few LTO6 tapes which are marked with Permanent protection( we didn`t set such protection)

Is there any way to check which sessions have set the protection and to recycle those objects ?

We don`t have Veeam One.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Blago,

Are you using tape vaults? The only one option to automatically protect tapes is for vault-exported media:

You can go to Tape Infrastructure node, select tapes with "Expire never" mark and check the media set they belong to (creation time should be reflected in its name). Thanks.

Do you have a Veeam ONE deployed? What type of tape job are you using - Files to tape or backups to tape one? Thanks.
