V12 was mentioned that a billion files is supported.
Is this in all database types? What size would a database be with 1 BILLION files in Veeam?
Can Veeam pass this or is it a hard limit?
I'm sure I could probably push this limit once I get archiving.
If that is the case I may want a second Veeam and SQL server specifically for this purpose.

Re: Tape Scaleing
It's definitely possible, it's not a hard limit, but you should plan the SQL Server sizing carefully.
If we are talking about File to Tape jobs, the database size would be huge.
I saw cases with millions of files with databases of around 300GB.

Re: Tape Scaleing
so expect TB's then
I have hundreds of millions of files here, but at least on tape the DB might be huge, but the SAN will have some freed up room.
