Tape to VCC?

I have a customer who wants to move their legacy tape backups to cloud storage.

What is the process for doing this? Can we do a backup copy job from tape to VCC?

Hello darren.wallace,

You can restore all data from tape to a local repository and then copy backups to a cloud storage manually. Another option would be to send tape media to the cloud vendor and restore data to a cloud repository locally.

Can we do a backup copy job from tape to VCC?

Backup copy can process the backup files which are 'linked' to existing jobs, if backup files are not mapped to the jobs after recovery from tape backup copy will skip those from processing.
