Timeout for some tapes

For some tapes I received SQL timeout when i expand the tape to view the files saved on it:

Thanks for sharing the case! Let's await for the support team investigation results. Meanwhile, can you please clarify if that's a bundled SQL Express or you are using the standalone SQL server? How many objects you protect via file to tape job? Cheers!

SQL Express , no protection and 3 jobs as file to tape .

I mean what's the rough estimate on the amount of files and folders in you file to tape job? Thanks!

Looks like you are way beyond the limit of the bundled SQL Express, which has the 10GB per database instance limitation. We do recommend using SQL Standard as a database server for Veeam B&R server whenever you need to process more that 1 million objects in file to tape jobs. Cheers!

Do not back up to tape large number of files (over 1 000 000 files in 1 000 folders) in one tape job if your Veeam backup server uses Microsoft SQL Server Express edition. Processing a large number of files will result in considerable performance penalty. Also bear in mind that the usage of Microsoft SQL Server Express Edition is limited by the database size up to 10 Gb. If you plan to have larger databases, use other editions of Microsoft SQL Server.
