Unable to add NDMP server in Update4
I am trying to add the ndmp server after upgrading to Update 4.. i get the below error
Cannot connect to NDMP server
Failed to authenticate. NDMP error: '4'
Am sure the account am using is having enough permission at NDMP server. Any thoughts on this.

Re: Unable to add NDMP server in Update4
Hey Rajesh,
I am guessing here that the username / password that is being delivered to the NMDP server is in the wrong format.
Could you please create a support call, log the support case ID here and after that the investigation with our engineers what the solution is?
Many thanks
Mike

Re: Unable to add NDMP server in Update4
Moving to the tape forum.
This may not be the case here, but for the future readers - keep in mind that NDMP implementation may differ from one vendor to another, and not all of the are guaranteed to be support. We did of course test all market-leading NAS storage we had access to though.

Re: Unable to add NDMP server in Update4
i got the access issue fixed by creating the credentials as per the below netapp document
cluster1::> security login create -user-or-group-name backup_admin1 -application ssh
-authmethod password -role backup
Please enter a password for user 'backup_admin1':
Please enter it again:
But after adding the server, i see only the volumes which are part of Aggregate-1 only. other aggregate volumes are not being discovered. Not sure why
Any thoughts... ?

Re: Unable to add NDMP server in Update4
Please open a support case to have them take a look at your configuration. NetApp is one storage that got very good beta testing coverage thanks to how common it is, so it's not where I expect customers to encounter such a major blocking issues.
