Simple question this.
Going to upgrade the firmware on my HP MSL6480 tape library (tape drives as well)
Anything I need to do before or after in Veeam? Other than just do it during period of zero scheduled B2T jobs.
As the firmware is square and central part of the Library name in Veeam - does it just recognise it's been updated.?
Thanks

Re: Update Firmware on Tape Library - any gotchas?
I've updated the firmware (library and drives) a couple of times on our MSL4048. Never had any issues with Veeam B2T or F2T jobs. I don't suppose it would do any harm to rescan the libary in Veeam afterwards, but I didn't need to.

Re: Update Firmware on Tape Library - any gotchas?
Just to add to what I said above, I've just noticed that the library name in Veeam still shows with the original firmware version. It's never caused any problem that I am aware of, and the library properties in Veeam show the correct version.

Thanks
I see that actually right click and you can rename your library.
