Is there any current soft or hard target around update 1?

That's the plan.

@All who are affected by this issue after update to V9.
I've a 2'nd problem. After the tape job is finished the last tape won't eject from drive automatically (Into Job the option "Eject media upon job completion" ist marked!).
Have anybody the same issue!?

Hi, Dirk,

Do you have a library or standalone drive?

Thanks.

2. Expired tapes are not overwritten automatically by tape job (only tapes expired before the upgrade procedure are affected). This issue will be addressed in a private fix, followed by Update 1. As a temporary solution, mark expired media as free manually or use a custom scripting. In order to request a hotfix, please, contact support team.

Private fix has been created and successfully tested. Everyone experiencing the said issue, kindly, open a ticket with our support team and request the fix. Thanks.

I can confirm this. It's a simple SQL script that you have to execute on the VEEAM database. Not that difficult. It has solved the issue for me.

Don't hold the update inclusion in u1 for me. I requested the update but didn't get it and didn't bother to push the issue since I expected u1 to be released a month or 2 ago...

[MERGED] Insert a tape to continue

Veeam Logoby Fatyeung » Thu Apr 14, 2016 2:38 am

Start at upgrade from v8 to v9 update1, Veeam was shown this warning message "insert tape to continuous" when "backup to tape" job was started. Normally, we set the retention day to 12 and insert tape everyday. It's already see the tape in media pool is already expired in console. However, it still pop up "insert tape" warning.

Now, we only mark the tape as free everyday for temporary workaround. It does not happen on previous version.

How to fix this problem?
