Vaults Tape Expiration is Wrong

Post by redhorse »

Hello,

I've noticed that the expiration time in the Vaults view is not the same as in the Offline or Media Pool view. From my point the expiration time in the Vaults are not correct.

Example:
We've configured a retention of 14 days for the daily media set within a GFS job. The mediaset was created on June 19th and in the Vault view the expiration is set to July 3rd which is 14 days after the media set was created. In all other views (Offline, Media Pool, ...) the expiration is July 9th which is 14 days after we've closed the media set. As far as second date (July 9th) should be correct as the retention begins after the last backup on the particular media set.

Is this a common bug?

Hello,
if the same media has different expiration dates, that sounds like an issue. Do you have a case number with screenshots & logs and can you please share the case number?

Thanks,
Hannes
