Hi there, I'm working on configuring the AWS VTL for VEEAM and am wondering what the best practices are. Is it ok to use the server where VEEAM is installed as the Windows Tape Server?
Thanks

Re: VTL Config
Hi Alex.
Please refer to this white paper. You may use either Veeam backup server or a separate Windows server as a tape server, just don't forget about system requirements.

Thanks, I read this paper but don't see any discussion about whether it is acceptable to use the VEEAM Backup and Replication Server as a Tape Server

Re: VTL Config
No issues with that, just mind additional system requirements brought by tape server role. Thanks.whether it is acceptable to use the VEEAM Backup and Replication Server as a Tape Server
