So we're having major issues writing to tape which I've opened cases for and we're trying to fix, but another side issues comes up as a result
When a job fails, we have 2 or 3 tapes that have the data from the failed job still on them. Does Veeam know to repurpose those tapes? I feel like we're wasting a ton of tape space because failed jobs are left on tape and in an unusable state. We also have a few tapes with data on them that show as never expiring, even though our media pools have a 36 month retention period

Yep, it does. Those tapes should not have any retention period assigned to them and should be re-used during one of the next job cycles.Does Veeam know to repurpose those tapes? I
