Hey,
I want to rename a folder that originally included in the backup list
eg. I add C:\test to the backup list, and there's a folder C:\test\1
then I rename C:\test\1 to C:\test\2, files in this folder will not be changed.
Will Veeam create a duplicate backup and taking up free tape space,
or just scan the file, finding no difference and then just change the folder name in the backup without backing up the files in the folder again?
Thanks!!

Re: Will renaming the folder make Veeam create a duplicate backup?
Hello,
yes, the files in the renamed folder will be written to tape again. The renamed folder must be backed up, because otherwise it would be impossible to restore to the latest state (c:\test\2)
Best regards,
Hannes
