Beginner question, opensuse agent

Post by CSVT »

Hi,
we are fairly new to linux OS. We chose to use OpenSuse and are currently learning bout linux.

I read https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/agent ... tml?ver=20

I was hoping to avoid downloading and installing the agent and instead adding a veeam.repo so that zypper up would update the agent automatically. I can't find that kind of repo. Does it exist ?

Thanks,
Alexandre Chevrier

Hi and welcome to the community,

The package which you're offered to download is repository installation package, not the agent package:
<...>Download the Veeam software repository installation package (veeam-release) from the Veeam Download page at https://www.veeam.com/downloads.html, and save the downloaded package on the computer where you plan to install the product.
That is, once you install the repo package on your host, you'll be able to pull automatic updates from it.

Thanks
