Dependencies are not installed automatically on Centos?

Veeam Logoby ovidiu » Sun Jul 10, 2016 9:43 am

Code: Select all
[root@jacob rpm]# rpm -ivh veeamsnap-1.0.0.499-1.noarch.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
        dkms is needed by veeamsnap-1.0.0.499-1.noarch
[root@jacob rpm]#

Code: Select all
yum install dkms

fixed that.

then I hit the next dependency problem:
Code: Select all
[root@jacob rpm]# rpm -ivh veeam-1.0.0.499-1.el6.x86_64.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
        fuse-libs is needed by veeam-1.0.0.499-1.el6.x86_64
[root@jacob rpm]#

fixed by:
Code: Select all
yum install fuse-libs

Not sure if this was my system or a general problem, just wanted to report it.

We'll make sure this will be resolved when installing from a repo. Just like all other dependencies.
