Does Veeam follow locally mounted volumes?

Post by cibomato »

Hi all,

I'm wondering, whether Veeam Agent for Linux does follow/backup local mounts?

I have mounted /dev/sdb1 on a mountpoint located on /dev/sda1. I'd like to only backup /dev/sda (System), not the content of /dev/sdb1 (large data). So what will happen, if I run a volume-level backup-job backing-up /dev/sda? Will it also back-up the mounted sdb1?

Thanks and best regards,
cibomato

We will not backup sdb1 even if it is mounted on /dev/sda1.

Did I get it right - you mounted /dev/sdb1 on the same directory where /dev/sda1 had been already mounted, is that correct? If so then what's the purpose for such configuration?

Thanks
