Error Cannot query directory

Post by SYR »

Hello,

I'm trying to backup a mounted nfs directory with no luck. I keep getting the following error message "Cannot query directory /tmp/veeam/snapmnt/{b450bf43-52ce-47f8-977a-cbf1e87dfb83}/: directory doesn't exists".

OS: CentOS 6.8 2.6.32-642.3.1.el6.x86_64

Re: Error Cannot query directory

Hi,

Veeam Agent for Linux (VAL) cannot backup mounted NFS/CIFS directories, you can only backup devices/directories that you have block level access to. If the NFS server is a linux-based machine then you can install VAL there and backup the directory.

Thanks

I have the exact same issue. I was under the impression that this could be done, I guess not. What other alternative is there for backing up data that is housed on a NAS device? In my case I have a VNX unified storage system and I am unable to install VAL on the console servers.

The only option is to use File Copy Job.

Thanks.
