For bare metal recovery we offer an iso which you can use and allows you to restore a full machine.
vmniels wrote:1) yes, you can install it on multiple servers.
2) in the x64 folder of the download there is a file (veeam-recovery-media-126.96.36.1999.iso) which you can mount on a server and launch at boot for bare metal recovery
vmniels wrote:You can restore from the right side to the left however lvm support is being finetuned based on other feedback (see veeam-agent-for-linux-f41/does-veeam-agent-for-linux-support-recover-a-lvm-t36134.html for additional info).
vmniels wrote:As mentioned in the thread it is not yet fully supported in the beta status and will be optimized towards GA. The reason why it can't find an OS is probably related to the bootloader not being restored as it should.
vmniels wrote:Currently it is a known bug that the restore of the bootloader results in an error. We'll make sure this will be resolved by the GA release (maybe in the next beta built even). Installing grub should resolve it but this is not something you should have to do manually in case of a full recovery.
vmniels wrote:If you install grub manually now it should work however I haven't tested it. If you are going to try this I am looking forward to feedback!
Automatic LVM restore procedure is planned to support only "the same configuration" scenario, i.e. a restoration of a 500GB drive to another 500GB drive.ok but my means is it automatically create al LVM and volume groups but i think it can not
