[AIX] partition / Fill at every FULL backup

Post by sconsi »

Hello,
i am doing VAU test in my production environment. I wanted to ask you if it was possible to change the media directory. By default this folder is located in / etc / veeam / media, i.e. under /. However, we usually give little space to / and now every backup is likely to fill up quickly. In which configuration file is this parameter described? Also is it possible to do a rotary cleaning of the files placed there?

root@aix:/etc/veeam/media# ls -al
total 19120
drwxr-xr-x 2 root system 256 Mar 23 16:01 .
drwxr-xr-x 5 root system 4096 Mar 23 16:19 ..
-rw-r--r-- 1 root system 621 Mar 23 11:54 Mon Mar 23 11:54:12 2020.lml
-rw-r--r-- 1 root system 2785280 Mar 23 12:36 Mon Mar 23 12:28:46 2020.lml
-rw-r--r-- 1 root system 0 Mar 23 12:55 Mon Mar 23 12:55:40 2020.lml
-rw-r--r-- 1 root system 6985563 Mar 23 16:17 Mon Mar 23 16:01:49 2020.lml

thank you

Hi,
In which configuration file is this parameter described?
Kindly check this UG page, and this one too.
Also is it possible to do a rotary cleaning of the files placed there?
Yes. You need to specify the desired retention every time you trigger the backup. Please see our UG for details.

Thanks!
