Account SQL staging server / mount server

Hi, for a SQL application item restore, is it correct that the account used to connect to the staging server must also be used to connect to the Mount server? Our SQL staging server is in a domain and our default Mount server is not. The restore works great and without any problem when I change the Mount server to a server in the domain that can be reached by the account used for the staging server. Thanks!

Thanks, probably my issue was network or name resolution related.
