Hi,
case #03375340
After updating to Update 4 and upgrading the windows agent on the clients machines, the backup jobs on these machines all fail with the error:
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Uninstalling, rebooting and reinstalling the agent on the client doesn't help.
Transaction log backups on the SQL server where the agent is installed do work fine though.
Any idea?

I had the same problem with an sql server.
I have created a new backup job for this specific client. And backup is working again.

Indeed, that's the issue. All Windows Agent jobs failed. After creating a clone of these jobs, the new job starts fine.
Looks like a bug.
