Error: An existing connection was forcibly closed
Support Case #01022464
I get the strangest error on Veeam since upgrading to Windows 10. At the end of the backup process I keep getting "Error: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host." I backing up to a USB external hard drive so I have no clue what this error says something like that.
Does anyone else experience this?

Re: Error: An existing connection was forcibly closed
If you change your destination target does this error go away or it persists for any backup repository?

Re: Error: An existing connection was forcibly closed
I do not have any other drive large enough to store the backup, but I did a test last night in which I backed up just certain drives. If I backup my C: drive, I do not get an error, but when I backup my 3 disk Raid 0 along with the C: drive, the error pops up, I still haven't tested to the last drive to see if it gets the same error.
For this test I did was a Volume backup instead of the Entire Computer.

Seems like this error pop ups when backing up large amount of data (C drive + other). Let's see what our support engineer figures out after reviewing job log files.

Strange thing is if I backup the Raid 0 array on its own, it successfully able to backup without an error. Well I sent the log files back to Veeam.

I'm experiencing the same thing. Did anything come out of this investigation by support?

Unfortunately, we did not receive any response from the topic starter at the support side too. If you experience the same issue, please open a support case and post the case Id to this thread. Thanks.
