I would say exclude all file extensions you see in your backup repository, as .VBK, .VIB, .VBM...

Plus the default Veeam Endpoint backup location (C:\Program Files\Veeam) and if possible its good to have the Veeam Endpoint Backup service whitelisted. Just out of curiosity what is the AV software you are referring to?

Thank you, I've added McAfee to our testing list.

I am running a machine with McAfee VirusScan Enterprise + AntiSpyware Enterprise 8.8 (Patch 2) and when attempt to run the VEB installer it detects McAfee scanner and says to whitelist or disable.

1. I have attempted to disable and stop McAfee services...
2. How do you whitelist in McAfee - one for them I suppose.?
3. I have added exclusions of directories mentioned in KB2034: How to add Veeam Endpoint Backup to antivirus exclusions list http://www.veeam.com/kb2034

1 and 3 performed but still get the dialog from the VEB installer.

Stuart,
The dialog is a friendly reminder to the actions you’ve already performed – simply ignore the dialog, since so you are good to go further.
