Application items restore from VBR?

Hi

When choosing restore from VBR (9.5 u3a)(protection group) for a Agent backup. There is no option to restore application items. What is the procedure to restore ex exchange data from Agent backup?

Hey Magnus. Did you select "Enable application-aware processing" when creating a job?

Yes.

When choosing Home / Restore / Agent backup / , there is no option to restore application item.

For me, I navigate to Home\Backups\Disk, then expand Agents in the right frame, right-click on my Exchange server, then select Restore Application Items in the menu, and finally Microsoft Exchange Mailbox items...

I don't initiate an agent restore from the restore menu directly.

Hi Magnus,

Wes is right. When restoring application items from backups created by the Veeam Agent, you need to follow the same procedure as you would do for VMs: Home\Backups... Here is the user guide link for your convenience: Restoring Application Items .

Ok, thanks. A bit different to what I am used to. Will it later be possible to restore application items from the "Global" Restore menu?

Cannot comment on this, but since this workflow is already used by all users performing this operation for VMs I assume it will remain like this for now, but thanks for the FR!
