backing up pst files

While creating backup for PST files, does it take the complete file or just incremental.
Some of the our users have 40-45GB of PST file size.
Generally I am skipping taking backup of pst files for now.
If it is incremental, then I can opt to take backup of these files too.

and welcome to the forums.

It depends whether you do file-based backup for block based backup.

For block-based backup (default and recommended): we do block level incremental backup
For file-based backup (slower, not recommended): a changed file will be backed up full again
