You can use Veeam Backup and Replication to backup in-guest OS files with Veeam Agent for Windows.
You need to configure File-Level Backup job of type "Managed by Server". Full process described here.

Veeam Agents are part of Veeam Backup and Replication. It will be deployed by VBR server automatically when backup job runs, or you can add a new machine under "Inventory" node and observe agent installation process there.

Try running agent Rescan again from the Inventory node - if agent says it requires reboot that means windows OS it is installed on has pending reboot.

but if i try to extract it into guest files or virtual disk ( just so i can see what it backed up ) i get this error :

Ok, according to 1st screenshot there is no pending reboot anymore.
As for 2nd problem, click Backups - Disk on the left side, expand agent backup job there and right click on the backup - select Restore Files - Microsoft Windows. Will it work that way?
/Thanks!

this is not working correctly .. the job backed up the entire server
i just want to backup one folder .. and be able to see the files in it and recover the one i want ..
eventually i found file share in backup job and it worked .. i can recover single files and folders

i will test it

If it backed up entire server, than you have "Entire machine" on backup job's "Backup mode" page or selected an entire volume for File-Level mode. Switch to File-Level and specify folder you want to backup. That should do the trick!
