Backup in progress - Not started

Post by itognet »

Hi,

I have installed the Veeam Agent recently on serveral PC's, but I cannot get it to function on 1 PC.

It's a Windows 10 Pro, fully updated, running Windows Defender and Windows Firewall disabled.
PC has and will never be used by an user, only for changing the configuration

I have tried reinstalling the Veeam Agent, serveral times. Also run as admin.
I have tried recreating the Veeam Database.
I have tried running virus scan and malware scan, just to be sure.
I have tried different Veeam Agent backup configurations.

After configuring the Veeam Agent, I start the backup job.
Backup is in progress... Not Started - I can press Cancel.
After about 4-6 minutes of doing nothing then it returns to the Backup now option.

The normal Windows event logs doesnt tell anything.
The Veeam Event logs this error:
Veeam Agent 'Backup Job W10-FREEFLOW' finished with Failed.
Job details: Job [Backup Job W10-FREEFLOW] cannot be started. SessionId: [1c0057e3-fbe9-4290-b605-4fd0bf153cc3], Timeout: [365,0110304 sec]
Job has failed unexpectedly

When I run the Job a second time, it logs this error:
Veeam Agent 'Backup Job W10-FREEFLOW' finished with Failed.
Job details: Job [Backup Job W10-FREEFLOW] cannot be started. SessionId: [51614da3-9c51-4bf4-920b-d5ac5e191d4b], Timeout: [360,0620576 sec]
Job has failed unexpectedly

How should I proceed to solve this error

Hello and welcome to the community Dennis.

Is it possible for you to submit a support case directly from Veeam Agent for Windows Control Panel? You need to go to Support tab and click Technical Support to submit the case. Such case will include the debug logs from the affected machine automatically (and it's totally free). Please share the case ID once done in this thread. Thank you in advance!
