Case number: 05612367
I have a backup on a server that will only run successfully once. Subsequent backups fail stating the job cannot start. The only way to get the backup to run successfully again is to restart the server. I've tried restarting all Veeam, SQL, VSS services etc. but nothing seems to work other than rebooting the server.
Veeam Agent 'Backup' finished with Failed.
Job details: Job [Backup] cannot be started. SessionId: [c9b07955-2917-421a-b3a9-39b1aa4ea76e], Timeout: [360.1200512 sec]
Job has failed unexpectedly
I've had this issue with fresh installs of both the Veeam Agent for Windows v5.0 and the full Veeam Backup & Replication v11a. I've trawled through all the logs and can't see why the job fails to start.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Backup only works once then starts failing
Hello Chris,
Thanks for the case number.
The error itself is quite generic and as it is usually happening with every generic error there are a lot of possible reasons. Some issues could be fixed by registry editing, others are more infrastructure related like issues with name resolution, certificates, and other factors.
Please continue to work with our support engineers. I'm confident they will find the cause of this issue.
Thanks
