We're using Endpoint Backup to make a backup of our physical fileserver. The total size of the data is 6 TB. The backup itself took 16 hours, but the merge is running now for almost 50 hours! Meanwhile we're not able to start a new backup. Is there something we can do to make the merge more faster?

Got it, in this case destination target is the bottleneck. Switching to more powerful NAS or distributing the current load on this box (if you're running regular Veeam backup job at the same time pointed to the same repository) should do the trick. Thanks for pointing out the issue though, we will see if there is anything we can do to optimize the merge process.

Only some volumes. I've changed (this was a suggestion of Veeam Support) the amount of RAM of our backup server from 8 to 16 GB. Because I also changed the content of backup job yesterday a full backup was made, so i still have to wait until the max amount of restore points i reached before a new merge will be started. I'll keep you posted.
