Backup Retention After Clean Install

I uninstalled VEB 1.5.0.306 and installed VAW RTM. The database still showed my previous backups. I configured VAW for backup encryption. Next backup was a full backup. Will my previous backups with VEB be automatically removed according to their retention or will I have to remove them manually? I doesn't look like they are being removed.

Technogod,

After encryption is enabled VAW performs Active Full Backup. In such case backup files are not removed immediately by retention, instead the whole chain will be deleted when the latest increment is retired.
