Backup to multiple external HDDs

Hi,
I want to change the external HDDs I backup to an a weekly basis.
The HDD has the same name and gets the same drive letter but the Backup fails with: "Backup repository is not accessible".

Will the feature be added in the future or is it just not possible?

Hello,

The HDD has the same name and gets the same drive letter but the Backup fails with: "Backup repository is not accessible".

Since it’s other device you need to manually change the target of your backup job in Configure backup wizard. Also, it means the disk recognition of the USB drive is working properly as it does not relay on the volume letter or label.

If you mean support of the rotated USB drives – yes, meanwhile please change the target manually.

I hesitate to contradict the Veeam employee who has posted above, but we've been using rotated USB drives for months now, following the guidance in the following KB: http://www.veeam.com/kb1154

Is the repository specified as something like 'G:\Backups\' ? I would implement the registry keys from KB 1154 and ensure that the repository path is accessible - create the folder if necessary.

I believe you're using rotated drives in Veeam B&R while the discussion here is about Veeam Endpoint backup

Yes, it is available in GA version > Backup to Rotated Drives
