I have been hearing this a lot lately about all our users have a lot of slowness issues when Endpoint is running. They cant get anything down because it slows their machine down so much! We always make sure the throttle checkbox is checked but it does no good. We have machines ranging from very fast to intermediate desktops and I have this issue with both.
Does this process work MUCH slower on WiFi?
Is there a way to throttle this backups process another way?
We have negotiated changing the backups times individually but that seems to fail also because what apparently works for a good time to backup one day, it does not the next week.

Re: Backups to Server repository slowing machines to a crawl
Hi,
Could you please describe your backup environment a little bit? What's the load on the machines being backed up (CPU, RAM, HDD)?
Thank you.

Eric,
If it’s possible, please include the screenshots from Resource Monitor while VEB is running. Thanks.

Have you added Veeam Endpoint to your AV exclusions? I had a similar problem with performance until I excluded Veeam from AV scanning:

Phil,
Good hint. Indeed, antivirus software may cause VEB lags, so its definitely recommended to keep it in the antivirus exclusions.
